The Fort Stockton Middle School Panthers and Prowlers opened their track and field season with strong performances at the Sandhills Meet in Monahans on Thursday, Feb. 26, with several athletes earning top finishes across both running and field events.

Panthers Take Second at Sandhills Relays

The Fort Stockton Panthers turned in another strong early-season performance on the track Friday, finishing second overall at the Sandhills Relays in Monahans with a team score of 157 points. The meet marked another step forward for the Panthers as several athletes recorded personal-best performances while competing against a strong field.

FSMS Tennis Earns Multiple Finishes at Comanche Classic

The Fort Stockton Middle School Panthers continued their spring season with a strong showing at the Comanche Classic Middle School Tennis Tournament, held February 28 in Fort Stockton. Competing on their home courts, the Panthers demonstrated steady growth, competitive spirit, and strong sportsmanship throughout the tournament as several athletes earned podium finishes in both singles and doubles play.
The Middle School Tennis Team - With the Comanche Classic now behind them, the Panthers will continue preparing for upcoming competition as the middle school tennis season moves toward its final stretch. Fort Stockton Middle School’s Blue Wave swim team continued to show steady improvement during the 2026 season with a strong showing at the Pecos Junior High Invitational on February 27. Competing against several regional programs, the Blue Wave finished fourth overall while demonstrating significant progress since their previous meet in December.

The Fort Stockton Prowlers continued their strong non-district stretch Tuesday night, February 24, defending home turf with a statement win over Big Spring as both junior varsity and varsity handled business in front of an energized crowd.

Fort Stockton Golf Continues Strong Spring Run

The Panthers and Prowlers of Fort Stockton ISD continue to log miles and meaningful rounds as the spring golf season moves deeper into tournament play. Under Head Coach Lea Daggett, Fort Stockton’s high school program has kept a full slate, competing in multiple varsity events across West Texas last week, including stops in Mc-Camey, Pecos, Lubbock and Iraan.
