Middle School tennis competes in Andrews

Body
This weekend, the Fort Stockton Middle School tennis team competed in the Andrews Tennis Tournament. The 7th Grade Team had a fantastic tournament dominating their brackets including an All-Fort Stockton Championship match between Daniel Hernandez/ Alexsandra Navarrette and AJ Marquez/ Destiny Munoz. The 8th Grade Team had a tough time finding their best form, but they competed well, and produced some good matches.

Prowler track runs in Levelland

The Prowlers competed at the Levelland Relays on Friday March 22. The girls competed well, and we are looking forward to the District Meet in Fort Stockton on April 2 and 4. Results are as follows: • Fifth Place: Ingrid Aguilar 400M - 67.78 (PR); 400 M Relay - Havyn Gaytan, Paulina Hernandez, Larie Belle Urbano, Yanelli Caballero Havyn Gaytan.

Prowler golf wins Alpine Invite

.The Fort Stockton High School Prowler Varsity golf team came home as champions from the Alpine Invitational on Monday. Bailey Roberts, Kaelynn Calderon, Evelynn Baiza, and Valeria Marquez all delivered their personal best performances of the season. Roberts shot a 97 which secured her a third-place finish individually. Their scores were as follows: Bailey Roberts - 97, Kaelynn Calderon - 98, and Evelynn Baiza - 101. The Prowlers came out ready to play in their last tournament before district next week.

Panthers take second in Alpine

The Fort Stockton High School Panther Varsity golf brought back second place from the Alpine Invitational. At the tournament, the Panther golf team’s representation included Ejay Ortiz shooting a 82, Rylee Muniz with an 86, Bradye Barragan with an 82, Cody Young with a 93, and Damian Gonzalez with a 95. Their team total came out to 343. The next event on the calendar is the district golf tournament. Pictured are Damian Gonzalez, Rylee Muniz, Cody Young, Ejay Ortiz, and Bradye Barragan .

Hernandez is state powerlifting champion

.The Prowlers had an amazing Spring Break at the THSWPA State Meet. finishing with two podium spots. Jasmin Hernandez was crowned the state champ in the 97-pound weight class with a 635-pound total. Belle Urbano finished in fifth place in the 114-pund weight class with a 745-pound total. As a team, Fort Stockton finished sixth out of 26 schools participating. “We’re proud of these young ladies and all the hard work they put in throughout the season,” said coach Ivan Pena.
