Hernandez Closes Career at State Meet

Fort Stockton senior sprinter Eduardo Hernandez closed out his high school track career on the biggest stage in Texas, competing at the UIL State Track and Field Meet in Austin on May 14-16 after qualifying in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash events.

Panthers Earn District 3-4A Honors

Fort Stockton’s baseball program picked up several postseason honors this week as four Panthers were named to the District 3-4A All-District Team following the 2026 season. Leading the way was senior pitcher Gerry Diaz, who earned First Team All-District honors on the mound.

Panther Tennis Continues Culture of Excellence

For Fort Stockton High School, the connection between success in the classroom and success on the tennis court continues to grow stronger. One year after former Panther Tennis Coach Cody Aaron highlighted the remarkable trend of Fort Stockton tennis players earning the school’s top academic honors, the tradition continued once again in 2026 with Alexander “Xander” Gomez being named Fort Stockton High School Valedictorian.

Starting Monday, the girl’s softball tour naments kicked off on both Rooney Park Fields. The 8U boys’ baseball also kicks off at Shuster Field along with the third day of the major tournament. All games start at 6:00 p.m. Come out and support our kids! Pioneer photos from Monday’s tournament.

FSHS Class Pride Takes Over Panther Stadium

The annual Powderpuff class competition returned to Fort Stockton High School on Tuesday morning as students packed Panther Stadium and Panther Gym for one of the school’s most anticipated traditions of the spring semester.
Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors all took part in the annual Powderpuff football games this year. The games were played inside the newly renovated Panther Stadium following construction and facility upgrades. Courtesy Photo

Hernandez Secures State Berth in 200m

Fort Stockton senior Eduardo Hernandez is headed back to Austin after another standout performance at the UIL Region 1-4A Track and Field Championships held May 1-2 at Lowrey Field in Lubbock. Representing the Panthers in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash events, Hernandez secured an automatic berth to the UIL State Track and Field Meet by placing second in the 200 meters with a time of 21.52.
