Middle Schoolers dominate home track meet

Fort Stockton Middle School played host to its home track meet last weekend, and the Panthers and Prowlers dominated on the track. The Fort Stockton High School Prowlers powerlifting team finished third at the regional meet last weekend in Big Spring, with several individual regional champions and state qualifiers. “I am proud of every lifter this year, from the beginning to where we are now so much improvement from everyone has happened, a lot have fought through adversity to achieve what they have,” said coach Ivan Pena.

FSMS opens spring tennis season in Monahans

The Fort Stockton Middle School tennis team opened their 2024 spring season this past Saturday in Monahans. Angel Marquez won third place in seventh Grade Boys Singles, while Daphnee Munoz and Ayerim Rodriguez won Consolation in eighth grade Girls Doubles. They beat teammates, Garbriella Hernandez and Italy Rodriguez, in the Championship match. Alexsandra (Chana) Navarrete had a great run in seventh grade Girls Singles draw, and Michael “Bubba” Patino also had a great tournament, falling to the eventual eighth Grade Boys Singles Champion in a tough match.
