Statement win: Panthers shutout Eagles

Body

Returning to his alma mater couldn’t have gone much better for Panthers head football coach Mike Peters on Friday.

The sixth-year head coach of Fort Stockton notched his first win against Pecos on the Eagles home field two years ago and after a loss to the Pecos in 2020, the Panthers left no doubt that they were the better program this season.

Panthers tight end Cruz Rojas stiff arms Pecos’ Jonathan Sandoval after a reception in the first half of Friday’s game. Rojas had two receptions for 19 yards in the win.
