Geraldine “Geri” Diane Wilkins Forney 81, temporarily went to sleep in death on Sept. 24, 2021. She was born in Walsenburg, Colo., to Edward and Celia De Luna Wilkins on June 30, 1940.

She is survived by her husband Glen Forney; a sister, Laurie Jackson of Montrose, Colo.; her four children, Jana Van Cleave of New Braunfels, Texas, Kyle (Jessica) Forney of Kirkland, Wash., Kelly (Thom) Lumbley of San Angelo, Texas, and Kanon (LeAnn) Forney of Carthage, Texas. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jesamy Ferguson, Zachary Lumbley, Ryley Quintana, and Bellamy Forney; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Corbin Harrison.

Geri was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Cynthia Merritt.

She was a graduate of Huerfano High School in 1958. She wed Glen on July 12, 1958, and they were happily married for 63 years. On Jan. 10, 1959, she symbolized her dedication to serve Jehovah God as a loyal Jehovahs Witness since then. She set a wonderful example of being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had so many loving qualities worthy of imitation.

She derived much joy in teaching Bible truths to individuals including the scriptural hope of an earthly resurrection and future Kingdom blessings. Revelation 21:3-5; Psalm 37:10,11.
