JC Napay and Zamia Dodson were crowned Fort Stockton High School Band Sweetheart and Beau at Friday’s game on Nov. 5.

The Pecos County Historical Commission hosted a two-day event at Horsehead Crossing. The event was first held in 2020 to commemorate the various historical figures who passed over this well-known crossing throughout the 16th-19th centuries. The celebration featured a chuckwagon breakfast, storytelling and live fire demonstrations by historical re-enactors. A Day of the Dead ceremony was celebrated at the Original Mexican Restaurant in Fort Stockton on Nov. 1-2. Pictured is an altar that has photos of loved ones who have passed away. The Tiny Tots Daycare center children stopped by for some trick-or-treat fun at the Pecos County State bank last Saturday.
