Magnify The Majestic Savior

Body
The book of Hebrews can be summarized into one simple sentence: Jesus is greater. In a world obsessed with comparisons— debating the “greatest of all time” in sports, music, leadership, and even personal preferences—people naturally measure greatness through achievements, influence, or reputation. That instinct isn’t new. Even scripture records conversations about who might be the greatest among figures like Moses, Elijah, Abraham, or David. Yet the message of Hebrews shifts the focus entirely. Instead of comparing Jesus to others, it presents Him as the very definition of greatness itself. Jesus does not merely compete for superiority— He establishes it. The entire book of Hebrews points to His preeminence, declaring Him as the ultimate revelation of God and the centerpiece of all history. From the very beginning of the letter, Jesus is portrayed as unmatched, not just in status but in nature. He is not simply another messenger, He is the exact imprint of God’s being, the radiance of His glory.

Nandinas: Invasive or Beloved?

Body
GARDENER’S MAILBAG Dear Neil: My pest control person told me I have “agricultural termites.” I was told they eat decaying organic matter in the lawn and are not harmful to structures. Could they do damage to my bermuda turf, shrubs, and trees? He offered to treat them, but he said that many people opt not to do so.
