Fort Stockton Community Theatre Unveils Summer Lineup of Performances, Camps, and Storytelling

Fort Stockton Community Theatre has announced a full lineup of summer events, beginning with the opening of the gospel musical Sanders Family Christmas on Friday, May 30, at 7 p.m. The toe-tapping sequel to Smoke on the Mountain will feature performances by Randy and Jody Day, Michael and Sarah Shuttleworth, Michele Huckaby, and Marcos Mendoza III as the Sanders Family Singers.

Next Tuesday, April 22, Warrant Officers from the 504th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade (EMIB) will participate in a professional development event at Historic Fort Stockton, focusing on the legacy of the 9th Infantry Division “Buffalo Soldiers” and their role in the Indian Wars (1867– 1886). The training aims to bridge historical lessons with modern leadership challenges, emphasizing mission command, disciplined initiative, and adaptive decision-making.
