Ureste, Rojas named to 4A-2 all-state team

Two members of last year’s Fort Stockton football team were selected to the Padilla Poll 4A Division II All-State Teams according to a news release that was revealed on Jan. 24.

Center Cruz Rojas was named to the second-team offensive line while Daren Ureste was selected as a second-team linebacker.

FSISD to receive $35 million for initial bond projects

The upcoming Fort Stockton ISD bond projects moved a step closer to becoming a reality on Monday at the district’s regular school board meeting. The school board approved a construction manager at risk (CMAR) for the projects and moved forward with the first round of bond sale in the amount of $35 million.
