The Fort Stockton Middle School Panther eighth grade placed second and the seventh grade third at the annual Comanche Relays last week. EIGHTH GRADE • 100-meter dash: 1.

Friday night the Fort Stockton High School baseball Panthers competed against Monahans in a thrilling 1-0 ballgame that the Panthers would win. Gerry Diaz started on the mound for the Panthers and struck out 13 batters and only allowed one hit on the night. Julian Leyva, Bryan Encinas and Corbin Luna would each get a hit for the Panthers. Bryan Encinas scored the lone run for the Panthers off of a sacrifice fly from Corbin Luna. Julian Leyva came on in relief to pitch in the seventh inning and he would get the last three outs by striking out the side.

This weekend, the Fort Stockton Middle School tennis team competed in the Andrews Tennis Tournament. The 7th Grade Team had a fantastic tournament dominating their brackets including an All-Fort Stockton Championship match between Daniel Hernandez/ Alexsandra Navarrette and AJ Marquez/ Destiny Munoz. The 8th Grade Team had a tough time finding their best form, but they competed well, and produced some good matches.

The Prowlers competed at the Levelland Relays on Friday March 22. The girls competed well, and we are looking forward to the District Meet in Fort Stockton on April 2 and 4. Results are as follows: • Fifth Place: Ingrid Aguilar 400M - 67.78 (PR); 400 M Relay - Havyn Gaytan, Paulina Hernandez, Larie Belle Urbano, Yanelli Caballero Havyn Gaytan.

The Fort Stockton Middle School Prowlers competed in the Junior Comanche Relays March 7 and had several strong individual performances. The Fort Stockton High School varsity Panther track team placed second out of eight Teams at the Levelland Relays. They scored 108 points losing by six points. The Panthers continue to improve as they prepare for the District Meet April 2 and 4 here in Fort Stockton.

The Fort was the site for the first district contest between the Prowlers and the Greenwood Rangerettes. Despite some great defensive plays, the Prowlers fell 4-0 to open up district play. Gabby Madrid pitched seven innings giving up nine hits and only four runs.

The Fort Stockton High School baseball team competed in the West Texas Classic Tournament, splitting four games to go 2-2 in the tournament. On Tuesday, the Panthers competed against Presidio and won the game 6-1, recording seven hits as a team and Corbin Luna pitched the entire game with eight strikeouts.

.The Fort Stockton High School Prowler Varsity golf team came home as champions from the Alpine Invitational on Monday. Bailey Roberts, Kaelynn Calderon, Evelynn Baiza, and Valeria Marquez all delivered their personal best performances of the season. Roberts shot a 97 which secured her a third-place finish individually. Their scores were as follows: Bailey Roberts - 97, Kaelynn Calderon - 98, and Evelynn Baiza - 101. The Prowlers came out ready to play in their last tournament before district next week.

The Fort Stockton High School Panther Varsity golf brought back second place from the Alpine Invitational. At the tournament, the Panther golf team’s representation included Ejay Ortiz shooting a 82, Rylee Muniz with an 86, Bradye Barragan with an 82, Cody Young with a 93, and Damian Gonzalez with a 95.
