Jerry Capers, 73, of Fort Stockton, Texas, passed away on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Fort Stockton.

Olivia Sanchez Jasso, 81, of Fort Stockton, Texas passed away on Aug. 20, 2023, in Midland, Texas.  Olivia was born in Presidio, Texas to Juan and Maria Sanchez on Jan. 29, 1942. She attended Fort Stockton High School and graduated from Sul Ross University in Alpine with a degree in education.

Veda D. Walker, 77, of San Angelo, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Beatriz Cardenas Ponce, 85, who loved to be called “Miama” passed away peacefully in her home in Fort Stockton, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023. Beatriz was born in Colonia Esperanza, Chihuahua Mexico on Aug. 2, 1938, to Vicente Cardenas and Mercedes Bolanos.

Saul G. Ortiz, 69, of Fort Stockton, Texas passed away on Aug. 1, 2023, in Dallas, Texas.  Visitation will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend, 301 N. Main Street in Fort Stockton.

Emma Ramirez Primera of Fort Stockton, Texas, passed away on July 23, 2023, at the age of 88.

With a warm heart and a profound sense of gratitude, I am pleased to inform you that our beloved mother, Ernestina Hagy (Valenzuela), has peacefully joined the Lord today, July 20, at 3:08 p.m. We find solace in knowing that she has found eternal happiness in the embrace of our Heavenly Father.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 11 a.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro, Louisiana for Emma Valenzuela, age 80, the former Emma Velasquez, who passed away Friday, July 14, 2023 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Our beautiful baby girl, Gabriella Navarrete (Gabby, Ella), 18 young years of age, of Weatherford, was tragically taken on July 4, in Fort Worth. 

Marylou Carrasco Benavides, 64, of Fort Stockton, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, in Fort Stockton.  Prayer Service was held on Sunday, July 2 at 6 p.m. by Pastor Jesus Guevara and Rosary recited at 7p.m. at Eternity Funeral Home Chapel.
