Olivia Sanchez Jasso, 81, of Fort Stockton, Texas passed away on Aug. 20, 2023, in Midland, Texas.

Olivia was born in Presidio, Texas to Juan and Maria Sanchez on Jan. 29, 1942. She attended Fort Stockton High School and graduated from Sul Ross University in Alpine with a degree in education. On Oct. 21, 1962 she married Ramon Jasso, the man of her dreams. Together they made their home in Fort Stockton, where they made a beautiful home for their three daughters, Laurie, Mellissa, and Tanya.

Olivia lived a wonderful life full of happiness, love for her Savior and complete joy for her family.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend to all. She could fix anything with her smile and her warm hugs.

Olivia was a dedicated fourth grade educator at Intermediate school for the FSISD and she was loved by so many of her students. After 33 years, she decided to retire and enjoy some time off. Though she loved her time off and the retired life, she had so much to give. She decided to dedicate her time to the church, so she worked as a secretary at St. Joseph’s church for three years. She also worked at First United Methodist Church for seven years.

With her free time, she loved to bake her delicious apple cake, crochet, dance, draw, and paint. Not to mention she loved Vegas!

Olivia is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Maria Sanchez, and 10 siblings.

Olivia is survived by her loving husband Ramon Jasso; Ruben and Laurie Martinez; Charles and Mellissa Benavides; Keith and Tanya Sankey; Isabel Gomez; Jesse Sanchez; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charles Benavides, Christopher Truesdell, Aidan Tindol, Matthew Benavides, Jesse Silva, and Ruben Martinez.

The family would like to extend our thanks to Midland Memorial Hospital for taking such great care of her.  To all her doctors, nurses, and hospital staff, we thank you for all your gentle care and respect you gave her.  Thanks to all her family and friends who stayed in constant prayer with us, to Father Mike who came out to pray over her during her last hour. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Psalm 91.
