With just two days remaining until the May 2, 2026, Joint Election, Pecos County residents are preparing to cast their final ballots for several critical local positions and a municipal tax proposition. Polls will be open on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. across various locations in the county.

In just two years, Tumbleweed+ has transformed from a fledgling replacement for the Fort Stockton High School newspaper into a powerhouse of student media. This past Saturday, that evolution reached a new peak at the Ector County Coliseum.

The vibrant energy of Zero Stone Park reached a new peak on Friday, April 24, as the Pecos County Community Action Agency (PCCAA) Head Start held its annual Cardboard Car Show and Parade. This year’s event, a cherished tradition in partnership with the Big Bend Open Road Race (BBORR), carried extra historical weight as it was officially designated as part of the 250th initiative celebrating America’s anniversary.
