Iraan-Shirley Nadine “NayNay” McMahon joined her beloved Nonnie on Aug. 28,2021. She was 54 years old.

A graveside service was held at the Sheffield Cemetery in Sheffield, Texas, on Sept. 3.

Nieves L. Gonzalez left us to be with Jesus on July 29, 2021. She was born on Aug. 5, 1927, in Chizos, Texas, to Anastacio Gonzalez and Rebecca Lopez.

Nieves was a loving grandmother and mother. She enjoyed singing with her son-in-law Victor Leyva who would sing to her every morning. She was a wonderful person inside and out, and was never in a bad mood. She was always happy, and catered to her children and grandchildren. She loved roses. 

Jean Clifton Burrows went to her heavenly home on Aug. 30, 2021. Jean was born at home on May 28, 1935, in Roby, Texas.

Jean was a well-loved mom, Granny, Gee, and friend to so many.

Selia Fabela Holloway went to be with our Lord on Aug. 24, 2021. She was born on Jan. 8, 1959, to her parents Domingo and Senaida Fabela in Fort Stockton, Texas.

Selia is survived by her husband David Glenn Holloway, their five children, Laura Farley, Jennifer Holloway, Sarah Henderson, Seth Holloway, and Isabelle Holloway; and her three brothers, Jose Luis Fabela, Javier Fabela, and Domingo Junior Fabela.

Jackie Douglas Prince, formerly of Fort Stockton, Texas, passed away on Aug. 18, 2021.

Jack was born in Olney, Texas, to Jasper and Lola Prince on April 21, 1936.

Elizabeth “Betty” Joel Phillips Holladay left this earthly life with her family gathered around Aug. 30, 2021.

Heartland Funeral and Cremations of Comanche has been entrusted with her funeral arrangements. The family will greet friends and family 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at the funeral home. They honor her life in a graveside service in the Zephyr Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 3, at 2 p.m. with David Duree officiating. Condolences can be left for the family at heartlandfuneralhome.net.

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Daren McIntyre, a larger than life, fun loving friend, garrulous stranger, and loving husband who lit up a room with his charm, magnetic personality, and infectious laugh. After a long struggle with health issues, Daren left us on Aug. 18, 2021.

Jennifer Renee Aguirre, 44, took her wings on Aug. 22, 2021, surrounded by her family in Fort Stockton, Texas.

Micaela B. De Rodriguez

Micaela B. De Rodriguez left us to be with Our Lord Jesus Christ on Aug. 14, 2021. She was born on Feb. 10, 1939, in Mexico to Santos Bernal and Manuela Perales.

Micaela was preceded in death by her husband Jose Rodriguez; her father Santos Bernal; her mother Manuela Perales; her daughters Maria Elena, and Griselda; her son Chonito.
