The Reverend Monsignor David Gallego Fierro, 71, retired priest of the Diocese of El Paso, Texas, was received into eternal life on Nov. 25, 2021. Msgr. Fierro, a native of Alpine, Texas, was born on Feb. 18, 1950 to his father, David H. Fierro and his mother Elodia Gallego Fierro.

Irma Ortega Johnston reunited with her Lord and Savior on Nov. 17, 2021. Irma was born and raised in Fort Stockton, Texas, where she was educated. Irma moved to El Paso, Texas in 1968, she returned to Fort Stockton where she worked as a care giver, working at the nursing home and as a physical therapist assistant, later became a correctional officer. She became a certified nursing assistant working at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in College Station, Texas.

Adelia Benson Lannom, 99, of Fort Stockton, Texas, slipped away peacefully at home on Nov. 11, 2021, following a lengthy illness. Adelia was surrounded by her children at the time of her passing.

Richard King Lewis II

Richard King Lewis II passed away Oct. 24, 2021, at the age of 56. Our Heavenly Father called him home to claim victory over his long battle with cancer. Rikki was born on May 27, 1965, to Richard King Lewis and India Fleming-Lewis in Fort Stockton, Texas.
Rikki worked at several kinds of jobs in his early life before he decided on a career with Home Depot where he dedicated his time for 31 years.

Ernest D. Waggoner, 80, passed away Nov. 3, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

There will be a private, intimate family memorial service at Big Bend National Park in accordance with Ernest’s request.

Emily Puckett-Notley

Body

Emily Puckett-Notley, 80, died at Seton Hospital on Oct. 1, 2021, after a rapid neurological decline.

The daughter of Dow and Roberta (Notley) Puckett, she was born in 1941 in Pecos, Texas. She graduated from Lockhart High School in 1959, and attended Texas Tech University. She went on to attend University of North Caroline-Chapel Hill, receiving a Masters degree in English in 1964.
