Jean Clifton Burrows
Jean Clifton Burrows went to her heavenly home on Aug. 30, 2021. Jean was born at home on May 28, 1935, in Roby, Texas.
Jean was a well-loved mom, Granny, Gee, and friend to so many.
Jean worked as a nurse for Dr. Jones for many years in Fort Stockton, Texas. She later owned Sham’s Liquor Store where she enjoyed visiting with and meeting new people daily.
She enjoyed her time as a Pink Lady at the Fort Stockton hospital.
Jean loved her family and shopping, and when the boys were younger, she even took karate classes. She also loved to play Bingo.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband Bill Burrows and her companion John Dunn, whom she met later in life; sisters Rose Knight, Charlene Parker, Betty Mae Klann; and brother CJ Clifton.
Jean is survived by her sons Mike Young and wife Trisha, Ricky Young and wife Elsa, and Tony Young and wife Carla; brothers Tommy Clifton and Billy Wayne Clifton and wife Georgia;
sister-in-law Sandy Clifton; grandchildren Heather Jones and husband Jason Jhonalou Young, James Holzwarth Young, Tyler Young and wife Dr. Rachelle Young, Wes Young and wife Julie, Brett Young and wife Haley, Reagan Young, Curtis Young and wife Heather, Genna Young, Shannon McCollum and husband Kenny, LeShay Germany and husband Nick; and many loved great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to all who helped with her care. A special thanks to her granddaughters Genna and Reagan who came and took care of their Granny/Gee.
A graveside memorial will be scheduled at a time to be announced later at the Fort Stockton Cemetery.
