Iraan-Shirley Nadine “NayNay” McMahon joined her beloved Nonnie on Aug. 28,2021. She was 54 years old.

A graveside service was held at the Sheeld Cemetery in Sheeld, Texas, on Sept. 3.

She grew up in Sheffield, Texas, alongside the Pecos River, being raised by her grandparents Nonnie and Da, attending school in Iraan, Texas, and graduating in 1985. She fiercely loved her family, and considered more folks family than were blood relatives. She didnt mind at all defending her family members to whomever may need correcting. Shirley had no desire to travel the world, as her wonders could be found in  the eyes of those she loved. Shirley truly was a guardian angel on earth as she is now in Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Olin “Da” Smith and his wife Kathryn “Nonnie,” Herman Kennedy and wife Laura, her parents Floyd Kennedy his wife Carolyn and mother Oleta Patterson, and Uncle Lloyd Coots.

She is survived in life by her husband Jeffery “PawPaw” McMahon; sons Dustin McMahon and his wife Ashley and daughter Scout, and Sean McMahon and his wife Kirsten and daughters Tess and Reese. Shirley is also survived by her brother Olin Kennedy and his wife Kathleen, their children Robert Kennedy, Shanna Tidwell and husband John, Colton Kennedy, Colleen Simpson and husband Mitchell, and grandchildren Marty, Caden, and JD ; her Brother Clayton Kennedy his wife Kelsie, and son Dean Kennedy and grandchildren, Aubrey and Aisley; her brother Kelly Kennedy and his wife Lorrie, and children Patsy Holmes and husband Dakota and Will Kennedy and wife Skye, son Joe Kennedy, and their grandchildren Carla, Kelby, Korden, Shooter, and Tyler Rose. Her surviving immediate family also includes Mary “Mimi” Coots; Lloyd Coots, Jr., and his wife Derrie and son Callen, Roger Coots and his wife Lisa, and grandchildren Whitney and Haley.

He heals up the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalms 147:3

In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to the Iraan Ex-Students Association. Arrangements were under the care of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
