Area engineer hired For Fort Stockton Office

Feng-pin An, P.E., has been appointed as the new area for the Fort Stockton Area Office. In his new role, Feng-pin will oversee design and construction operations in Pecos, Reeves, and Terrell counties. He will also supervise maintenance sections in Fort Stockton, Iraan, Balmorhea, Pecos, and Sanderson.

: Jan. 11, 1976 Issue: RECORD BROKEN - Dale Burger, senior captain of the Blue Wave Swim Team, finally surpasses his goal by breaking the 100 yard butterfly record held at Fort Stockton High School for seven years by Jody Ferrante. He set a new record time of 1:00.9 at the Andrews meet. This has been one of Dale’s goals since his freshman year.

NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN

Pecos County native TJ Perkins was sworn in as the county’s new sheriff by Pecos County Judge Joe Shuster on Friday, Jan. 1 at the Pecos County Courthouse in Fort Stockton. The 1987 Fort Stockton High School graduate has worked his entire career with the Pecos Sheriff’s Office, working his way ranks from a county jailer to his new position that he was elected for this past election in an uncontested race. No one injured in mobile home fire

A pair of mobile homes combined into one were fully engulfed in flames on Wednesday, Dec. 30 in Fort Stockton at 227 Bishop St despite the frigid rainfall occurring during the time the fire started.
