Pecos County native TJ Perkins was sworn in as the county’s new sheriff by Pecos County Judge Joe Shuster on Friday, Jan. 1 at the Pecos County Courthouse in Fort Stockton. The 1987 Fort Stockton High School graduate has worked his entire career with the Pecos Sheriff’s Office, working his way ranks from a county jailer to his new position that he was elected for this past election in an uncontested race.
