A pair of mobile homes combined into one were fully engulfed in flames on Wednesday, Dec. 30 in Fort Stockton at 227 Bishop St despite the frigid rainfall occurring during the time the fire started.

No one was injured in the fire as the two residents living in the joint mobile home made it out unharmed.

The Fort Stockton Fire Department received the call for the fire at 2:11 p.m. and arrived at the scene shortly thereafter. Fire crews had the fire under control within 40 minutes and were able to save a nearby property.

A nearby trailer received slight damage to its siding before the fire department prevented any further damage according to Fort Stockton Fire Chief Jessie Dominguez.

The fire was completely put out a few hours later with many hotspots taking additional time to put out.

The combined trailer was a complete loss due to damage caused by the fire.

After investigation, it was determined that the fire was potentially electrical.
