Prowler softball scrimmages Coronado, Alpine in Midland

The Fort Stockton High School Prowler softball program took 16 student athletes to Midland and scrimmaged Lubbock Coronado and Alpine last Saturday. “Like any first scrimmage there will be rust and some communication issues,” said coach Robby Glasscock.

Panthers roll Pecos for first district win

Aundre Washington and Diego Ronquillo each scored 13 points as the Fort Stockton Panthers led from start to finish in a 66-53 win over Pecos last Friday for their first district win. After getting off to an energetic and solid start that got the crowd engaged, the Panthers made a few unforced errors that allowed Pecos to gain the momentum.

The Fort Stockton High School boys powerlifters traveled to Andrews on Saturday and put up some good numbers despite only coming home with one medal. Christian Dominguez earned fifth place in his weight class. The boys look to improve their numbers on Thursday when they travel to Seminole.

Prowlers roll Monahans, fall to Andrews

The Fort Stockton High School Prowlers visited Andrews lasty Friday and, for a while, looked like they would escape with a key district win. But a fourth quarter surge by the Lady Mustangs resulted in a 47-35 loss. Thiara Wislar and Kailyn Reeves, both earned the title of top scorers in the basketball game, delivering standout performances during the match with 12 points each.

Prowlers suffer hard loss to Seminole

Walking onto the court at the Bill and Virginia Williams Special Events Center last Friday night, the Fort Stockton Prowlers knew they had a formidable task ahead of them. The Seminole Maidens came to Fort Stockton ranked No. 4 in the Class 4A TABC poll and were fresh off a 90-20 win over Andrews. The Maidens were as good as advertised in a 97-24 win over the Prowlers.

Panthers fall to Seminole in district-opener

The Fort Stockton High School Panthers varsity basketball team opened district play at home against the Seminole Indians on Friday night and came up short, 64-39. Diego Ronquillo led the Panthers with 10 point, Aundre Washington added nine and Christian Soto eight.
