The Varsity Panthers Basketball team continues to head in a new positive direction this season. This weekend, Coach Lancaster chose the toughest tournament that he could find to gain experience and learn how the game of basketball is played at the highest levels in Texas.

Panthers earn District 1-4A Div. 2 All-District honors

Fort Stockton High School’s 9-2 season and bi-district playoff appearance netter the Panthers several District 1-4A Div. 2 honors last week. The honors were announced Nov. 28 following a Monahans loss in the third round of the playoffs.

Panthers fight through adversity in Lamesa

Fort Stockton’s Panther varsity basketball team competed this past weekend at the Lamesa Tournament and were faced with some adversity. The Panthers tied Stanton 45-45 and lost to Lamesa 68-47. The Panthers also took on Perryton and Sweetwater, but those scores were not reported.

Blue Wave swimmers bring home the hardware

Blue Wave competed Saturday in the Odessa Permian Invitational and once again brought home some hardware. The girls had an amazing showing and placed third place overall; the 200 Medley Relay placed fourth; Sprint 200 Free relay placed fourth, and the 400 Free relay placed sixth.

Prowlers continue winning ways, Panthers grab first win

Body
Fresh off a holiday break, both the Fort Stockton High School Prowlers and Panthers hit the hardwood on Tuesday night for a post-Thanksgiving double header, and both teams came out on top. The Prowlers won their third straight game, taking down Imperial Buena Vista, 45-22, and the Panthers rallied late to hold off Kermit, 45-37.
