The Fort Stockton Special Olympics team has brought home the gold, achieving a remarkable victory at the Special Olympics Fall Classic State Softball Tournament held at the UTPB Sports Complex in Odessa. This tournament, the first of its kind to take place in West Texas, featured athletes from across the state and even included teams from as far away as Hawaii.

Competing in the Double Dual format, the Blue Wave swimmers showed impressive improvements and recorded significant time drops across various events, drawing praise from head coach Lily Morales Forst.

Prowlers Volleyball Showcase Skill in Matchups

The Fort Stockton High School Prowler Volleyball teams ended their preseason on a high note, hosting the Crane Lady Cranes in their last non-district contest before entering district play. The varsity Prowlers delivered a commanding performance, sweeping the Lady Cranes in three sets with scores of 25-5, 25-9, and 25-3. Jocelynn Arcides dominated the front line with an impressive 17 kills, while Kailyn Reeves contributed seven.

Blue Wave Dives into Success at Comanche Invitational

The Fort Stockton Blue Wave Swim Team made an impressive splash at the Comanche Swimming & Diving Invitational, held at their home pool on September 27-28. Under the guidance of Coach Lily Morales Forst, the Blue Wave showcased their dedication and improvement, with many swimmers dropping significant time since last season. The girls’ team finished in second place, while the boys narrowly missed a podium finish, landing in fourth. Overall, the combined efforts of the team earned them second place in the meet.
