The sound of rolling bowling balls and cheers of excitement filled Diamond Lanes in Odessa on Saturday, November 9, as Special Olympics athletes from across the region gathered for the Area 18 Bowling Competition. Among the competitors were Fort Stockton’s own Special Olympians, who brought their A-game and made their community proud with a fantastic showing.

With the regular season behind them and a hard-earned 6-4 record, the Fort Stockton Panthers are set to enter the postseason. Their upcoming playoff clash with Lubbock Estacado, the top-ranked team in their district, awaits this Friday at 7 p.m.

The Fort Stockton Prowlers basketball teams tipped off their season with impressive performances across both high school and middle school levels, delivering a strong start filled with wins, teamwork, and standout individual efforts. On November 5, the high school Prowlers traveled to Presidio, where they swept the Lady Blue Devils at all levels.

The Fort Stockton Middle School (FSMS) Tennis Team closed out their Fall Season on a high note with an impressive showing at the tri-meet in Monahans on Thursday, Nov. 7.

The Fort Stockton High School Golf Team has officially kicked off their season, showcasing their skills in a challenging tournament lineup that will lead up to their first winter competition in January.
