Carl Ryan fell long and hard for the Davis Mountains when he was just 10 years old. Decades later, that part of West Texas remains close to his heart. After reflecting on all the time his family has spent immersed in the best the region has to offer, he and wife Suzi Davidoff decided to honor those connections by giving back to Sul Ross State University— the place that ties it all together.

‘Honky Tonk Hissy Fit’ set

The cast of Fort Stockton Community Theatre’s upcoming comedy, “Honky Tonk Hissy Fit,” written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten and directed by Alice Duerksen is preparing for performances Friday, May 12, through Wednesday, May 17, at The Nelson Street Theatre. Evening performances are at 7 p.m., and the Sunday Mother’s Day matinee (Moms get in free!) will be at 2 p.m. Doors will open 30 minutes before curtain.
