Fort Stockton Community Theatre announces its fourth annual Be Cool/ Stay Cool Summer Theatre Camp for incoming first through sixth graders. The camp will be held at The Nelson Street Theatre Monday through Friday, June 19–30, from 1-3 p.m. each afternoon. The charge is $20.00 per child. There is a discount for multiple children in a family.

Youth Leadership Class graduates

The 2022-2023 Youth Leadership class celebrated graduation on March 10 with a luncheon at the Fort Stockton Chamber of Commerce. To graduate from the Leadership program, the students must attend at least seven monthly class meetings and perform community service throughout the school year. All 23 students enrolled in the Youth Leadership program completed all requirements this year. More than 2,000 hours of community service were performed by the class during the school year, with some students contributing over 200 hours each.

Walker gives back to community with donation to FSCT

Steven Walker wants to give back to the community who has given him so much. Walker, owner of Chunkarts Studio in Fort Stockton, was awarded a grant for $500 last year by Fort Stockton SLAM – Support for Local Arts and Music – which he used to purchase supplies for the art he creates.
