Kathleen "Kathy" Cardenas Tapia passed away on Nov. 26, 2021. She was 59 years young. She was born on Nov. 7, 1962, in La Puente, Calif., and was the eighth of 10 children born to Enrique and Guadelupe Cardenas.

Martin Luther Palmer, Jr., 81, of Longview, Texas, passed away Nov. 21, 2021, after a brief illness. He was born Nov. 17, 1940. The family held a private memorial service Saturday, Dec.11, 2021, to celebrate his life. It was a party.
Martin was preceded in death by his loving wife, Madonna, and grandson Samuel Kinsel.
Ricardo V. Tavarez, of Fort Stockton, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Nov. 29, 2021, in San Angelo, Texas, at the age of 63. He was born on Nov. 21, 1958, in Marfa, Texas, to Jesus and Amanda (Villanueva) Tavarez.
Marcey, was born in Fort Stockton, Texas, on Aug. 10, 1959, to Bobby Gene and Elsie Carol Brown, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 3, 2021.
Marcey graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1977 and completed her LPN certification at Fort Stockton Memorial Hospital on Dec. 8, 1988. She spent the rest of her career sharing her passion for the benefit of her patients. She finished her nursing career with Dr. Bhatti’s pulmonary department in Granbury, Texas. Prior to her nursing career, Marcey studied and worked as a hairdresser.
Irma Ortega Johnston reunited with her Lord and Savior on Nov. 17, 2021. Irma was born and raised in Fort Stockton, Texas, where she was educated. Irma moved to El Paso, Texas in 1968, she returned to Fort Stockton where she worked as a care giver, working at the nursing home and as a physical therapist assistant, later became a correctional officer. She became a certified nursing assistant working at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in College Station, Texas.
