Jose Sinez “Chevy” Franco, 86, passed away on Jan. 1, 2022. Joe was a life-long resident of Fort Stockton, Texas.  He was born on May 20, 1935, to Froilo and Elvira Franco. 

Joe was known to all as “Chevy” or “Papa Joe.” He was born and raised in Fort Stockton by his large family of parents, brothers, and sisters.

Maria Ann MaryAnn” Alvarado was born Sept. 15, 1965, in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Felipe and Felipa Campos. She attended school in Fort Stockton.

MaryAnn worked at the local nursing home and as a caretaker. MaryAnn loved to cook and sing for her family. She enjoyed singing with her brother Jesse in their church. She met Thomas Alvarado in Fort Stockton, and they were married April 27, 2010, in Fort Stockton.

Claudette Kerr, 80, of Fort Stockton, Texas, passed away Dec. 11, 2021. She was born Oct. 17, 1941, in Rosiclare, Ill., to Elton and Pearl Kerr.

Delmon “Papa” Hodges passed away at the age of 94 in his home town of Fort Stockton, Texas. Papa was the patriarch of a large family, all of whom loved him dearly.

Susan Roberts, better known to everyone as Sue, entered eternal rest on Dec. 26, 2021. Sue was born Oct. 8, 1944, in Wolverhampton, England. She went to school in Erdington, Birmingham, at St. Agnes Convent School.

Daniel Duane Dan” “Danny” Harcourt II passed away in Taylor, Texas, on Dec. 16, 2021, at the age of 43.

Dan is the son of Joni McGee of Fort Stockton, Texas, and Daniel Harcourt of Indiana.  Dan was born in Perth, Western Australia, on Aug. 22, 1978.

Olga Enriqueta Nanez Gaboriault

Olga Gaboriault passed away in her home the morning of Dec. 18, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 14, 1930, to Ignacio and Ofilia Nanez of San Buena Ventura Coahuila, Mexico. Olga was one of eight siblings. She outlived all, and will now join them in heaven.

Olga was married to her loving husband Marcel Adrian Gaboriault for 62 years. She met him in Del Rio, Texas, and moved to Hardwick, Vt., for a few years. They then lived in Fort Stockton, Texas, for over 50 years.
