Judy Polson, 77, of Guymon, Okla., passed away Jan. 22, 2022, at Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

Judy Diane Clary was born Oct. 22, 1944, in Post, Texas, to Ira Alton and Vada Earnestine
(Taylor) Clary.

Judy attended the Post school system, graduating with the class of 1962. After high school, Judy attended Cisco Junior College, then graduated from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas, with a BS in education. She met the love of her life while at Sul Ross, and married Tom Polson on Sept. 10, 1964.

Judy began teaching in Fort Stockton, Texas, then Georgetown, Texas, and finished a remarkable career of teaching at Murfee Elementary in Lubbock ISD, Texas, where she taught for 20 years. While there, she taught reading, social studies, and writing to many grade levels and, was most enthusiastic with fifth and sixth graders.

Tom and Judy made their home in Lubbock, where they attended and were members of
Calvary Baptist Church. Judy was involved in a ladies group that she cherished deeply.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Tom of the home; son Mark Shane Polson of San Angelo,
Texas; daughter Mindy (Polson) Rogers and husband Lee Rogers of Guymon;
grandchildren Colton Rogers, Tripp Polson, Katlyn Rogers, and Ayden Rogers; niece Whitney Polson; nephews Jon Polson, Rink Polson and wife Paige Polson, and Wyatt Polson. She is also survived by a host of friends.
