July 8 Judith Yadria Zambrano, of Fort Stockton at 5:47 p.m., officers from the Pecos County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Zambrano on a warrant for fail to report felony. Zambrano received a $5,000 bond and was released on July 9.

June 29 Braxton Kole Hernandez, of Fort Worth at 3:05 p.m., officers from the Department of Public Safety apprehended Hernandez and he was charged with five counts of smuggling of persons and one count of smuggling of persons under the age of 18.

Capital Highlights: Three arrested in deaths of 53 migrants

Three people were arrested last week by federal authorities in connection with a human smuggling incident that left 53 migrants dead. The migrants were discovered inside a tractor-trailer on San Antonio’s Southwest Side, according to the San Antonio Express-News.
