Hometown proud: Trash Pandas claim title

The Fort Stockton volleyball program held their annual summer camp from May 24-26 at the Special Events Center. The event featured the Little Prowler Camp (third through fifth grade), Middle School Prowler Camp (sixth through eighth grade), and the Freshman Prowler Camp.

City council honors track and field team

The Fort Stockton High School track and field regional qualifiers were commended by the Fort Stockton City Council for their exemplary performance in 2022 at the council’s regular meeting on May 23. City councilman Darren Hodges presented each athlete with their award.

Comanche Springs Pool opens

The Comanche Springs Pool opened to the public for the first time this year at noon on May 24. The opening was five days earlier than a year ago.
Over 100 people attended the opening of the Comanche Springs Pool this past Tuesday in Fort Stockton. The temperatures peaked in the high 80s and low 90s during the afternoon. The opening of the pool comes before a scorching two-week stretch that is currently projected to have high temperatures of no lower of 90 degrees and six days that reach at least 99. Cowboys return to Kokernot next week
