Longtime Texas resident, James Otis Faubion, obtained his eternal reward Monday, Nov. 29, 2022. He passed peacefully from this life at home in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by his faithful and loving wife, Brenda, and family.
The Feast of Sharing returned on Friday after a two-year absence due to the pandemic.
Numerous entities and organizations volunteered to feed the community at the free event, which featured a performance by the Pride of Pantherland Band and choir. Volunteers included Fort Stockton ISD National Honor Society students, student council, Rotary Club, Lion’s Club, Fort Stockton ISD staff, Fort Stockton Volunteer Fire Department, Pecos County E.M.S., Midland College, and many more individuals from the community.
A head-on collision between two semis on FM 1053, one mile north of Fort Stockton, resulted in a death of an El Paso man on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Department of Public Safety, a Kenworth truck with a trailer was heading south in the northbound lane for unknown reasons when it collided with a Peterbilt truck with a trailer at 1:30 p.m.
The Kenworth truck then caught fire.
