The holidays are all about food, whether it be the traditional holiday meals or all the little yummy appetizers you have before the meal or at parties. Producers can now take a nationwide survey to help the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) improve and increase access to its programs and services for America’s farmers, ranchers, and forest managers. The survey includes new and existing customers. USDA encourages all agricultural producers to take the survey, especially those who have not worked with USDA previously. The survey gathers feedback on programs and services available through USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Risk Management Agency (RMA).

The Buena Vista Longhorns’ expected home game against Sierra Blanca on Tuesday was canceled at the last minute, robbing the Longhorns of a quality warmup game before this weekend’s Longhorn Classic.

So far this season, the Longhorns have played well, getting off to a 7-4 start after many of their starters began the season with very little practice time after football.

Roslyn K. McIntyre, 81, of Fort Stockton, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton.
