Youth from Pecos County 4-H recently showcased their talents at the 2025 Texas 4-H Roundup, held June 2–5 in Bryan-College Station. The statewide event welcomed approximately 2,000 senior-level 4-H members— high school-aged youth— from across Texas to compete in a variety of contests, attend workshops, and explore career and leadership opportunities.

The Fort Stockton City Council held its regular meeting Tuesday evening, addressing a range of municipal matters including recreational park improvements, utility regulations, and employee recognition plans.

Following a high-turnout presidential election year, Pecos County officials are urging residents to participate in the upcoming local elections, which will shape the future of key government entities in the region. Last year, a total of 4,278 votes were cast in Pecos County during the presidential election, including early, Election Day, and absentee ballots.
