Fort Stockton’s Alex Williams is tied for seventh place after day one of the Class 4A boys state golf tournament at Plum Creek Golf Course in Kyle, Texas in a field of 72 golfers.
The senior carded a 2-over 73 on Monday and was in the lead pack of golfers to take to the course.
Williams is tied with Argyle’s Ethan Payne, Melissa’s Xavier Bighaus, and Paris’ Mason Napier for seventh place.
The Fort Stockton Independent School District School Board made their official decision on who the next superintendent will moving forward at the group’s special on May 5.
Dr. Gabriel Zamora received a unanimous vote by school board to become the district’s next superintendent.
The current Olfen Independent School District Superintendent was selected from a group of over 40 candidates that applied for the position.
Energy Transfer on April 30 celebrated the official energizing of the Maplewood 2 solar project located in Pecos County. The 28 mega-watt alternating current facility in West Texas will deliver low-cost, clean power to Energy Transfer under a 15-year power purchase agreement. This agreement marks Energy Transfer’s first-ever dedicated solar contract.
