Keep your saddle oiled and your gun greased because the “National Day of the Cowboy” – the fourth Saturday in July – is finally here. This day celebrates the lasting legacies of the cowboys that pioneered the American West as they worked cattle, beginning after the Civil War in the heart of Texas.

Congressman Tony Gonzales (TX-23) on Tuesday joined House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (NY-21), Whip Steve Scalise (LA-01) and Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25) for a press conference, where Congressman Gonzales gave an update on the crisis at the southern border on July 19.

The Odessa District of TxDOT has scheduled a virtual public meeting regarding proposed improvements to Highway 18 in Ward and Pecos Counties. The virtual public meeting is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Following the virtual public meeting, the presentation will remain available for viewing through Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021.
