Primed for districts: Panthers remain undefeated

Body

Adversity has struck in many forms for the Panthers football team this season.

None has diverted Fort Stockton from their winning path.

A broken down bus on the way to Friday’s game in El Paso against Ysleta and a season-high number of penalties, many of which left those in attendance befuddled, couldn’t stop the Panthers from moving their win streak to five games via a 34-14 victory over the Indians (1-4).

Senior Felipe Sotelo (12) had the most productive game of his Panther career on Friday at Ysleta. Sotelo tied his career-high tackle total for a single game with eight and hauled in the first interception of his career, which he returned for a touchdown. Photo by Nathan Heuer
