Playing mistake free ball has been one of the primary focuses of Fort Stockton head coach Jeremy Hickman and his coaching staff since the start of the season.

The Panthers (6-0) won their first five games by an average of 23 points per game despite committing 17 turnovers.

Fort Stockton showed they had made tremendous strides in that department and gave their fans insight into their potential on Thursday in their district opener against Clint (2-4).

Fort Stockton began district play with their most complete performance of the season on Thursday against Clint. The 41-0 victory marked the fifth time in the past decade that the Panthers won a district game by at least 40 points.

The recently installed speed bumps on Main Street in Fort Stockton were removed today in preparation for the Big Bend Open Road Race 2.0 Parade.

"With the Big Bend Open Road drivers and their cars being really low to the ground, I was asked to remove those and put them back when the parade was over," Fort Stockton City Manager Frank Rodriguez said.

The parade is scheduled to take place on Friday, Oct. 14 starting at 5:30 p.m. The route of the parade will begin at Rooney Park and travel through Main Street before ending on the west side of Dickinson Boulevard.
