Creamy Tuscan chicken and gnocchi

Body
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, and in the case of this creamy Tuscan chicken gnocchi, they aren’t wrong. Sadly, the transfer of digital photography to newsprint does not do the sight of this dish justice. The buttery, creamy shine of herbcovered chicken and tender gnocchi will leave your mouth watering in anticipation.

Texas transports more than 105,000 migrants

Body
Governor Greg Abbott, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas National Guard continue to work together to secure the border; stop the smuggling of drugs, weapons, and people into Texas; and prevent, detect, and interdict transnational criminal activity between ports of entry. Since the launch of Operation Lone Star, the multi-agency effort has led to over 504,900 illegal immigrant apprehensions and more than 40,600 criminal arrests, with more than 36,300 felony charges. In the fight against the fentanyl crisis, Texas law enforcement has seized over 469 million lethal doses of fentanyl during this border mission. Texas has also transported: *Over 12,500 migrants to Washington, D.C. since April 2022 *Over 39,600 migrants to New York City since August 2022 *Over 32,500 migrants to Chicago since August 2022 *Over 3,400 migrants to Philadelphia since November 2022 *Over 16,900 migrants to Denver since May 18 *Over 1,500 migrants to Los Angeles since June 14 Operation Lone Star continues to fill the dangerous gaps created by the Biden Administration’s refusal to secure the border. Every individual who is apprehended or arrested and every ounce of drugs seized would have otherwise made their way into communities across Texas and the nation due to President Joe Biden’s open border policies.

Texas mountain laurel trunks growing together not favorable for life of tree

Body
GARDENER’S MAILBAG Dear Neil: Is my Texas mountain laurel OK to leave alone, or do its trunks need to be cabled together? It doesn’t move at all when you push on it. I’m not fond of the branches that are growing into one another, but I can’t tell from the photos if there would be any way to trim the plant to remove one or two of them.
