Library board focused on new business, officer elections

Body
The Fort Stockton Public Library Board met in the Roberta Puckett room at the Fort Stockton Library on March 20. Members present included Rosalie Sullivan, Ross Harper, Penny Smith, Molly Yeager, Darren Hodges, and Victor Gene Robbins. Also present were library staff Elva Valadez and Sarah Pacheco. Guests included Diana Mesa, Donna Measday-Bryant, Angie Miles, and Elsa Ramos. Being the first meeting in quite a while, there were no revious minutes to approve. After financial updates, reporting requirements and program updates (Interlibrary Loan Program, staff training and the eBook program), the board focused on new business. The board then voted on the election of officers, following a seconded motion by Hodges to keep the same board members from the previous board and elect a new treasurer. Officers are Rosalie Sullivan, President; Ross Harper, Vice President; Jim Hatcher, Secretary; Darren Hodges, Treasurer.

Big Ed’s Boot & Shoe Repair, keeping it old school

Body
He doesn’t have many reviews on Google, but this is at the top: “Love the work he does awesome and humble and his help as well.” Quote. Probably typed out on a mobile phone, but it’s pretty darn accurate. And reviews are important to a business. As an example of the power of reviews, if you Google “coffee in fort stockton” coming in from El Paso on your mobile device, you’re going to wind up at the best reviewed coffee shop, unless you’re in a hurry. Those in a hurry would probably just stop somewhere like Pilot Flying J just for the sake of convenience. But if you have time? The Little Snow White Lamb

Body
We were busy feeding the sheep and I did not notice when he walked up. He stayed with the other baby lambs while their mothers were eating. Maybe it was the pure snow white color or maybe his size because he was a couple of inches taller than the other lambs. Every time we went to feed those sheep I looked for him. Sometimes I would see him and his mother coming across the pasture and he might be skipping or hopping or running in circles around her. Yes, he is a lamb but he is little different from the others.
