The Fort Stockton Independent School District honored their Student of the Month for November at the district’s regular board meeting on Nov. 15. One student from each campus gets recognized every month.

Xi Leta Lambda Holiday Auction

Members of Xi Leta Lambda held a Holiday Auction on Nov. 18 at the meeting hall connected to the Fort Stockton Community Theatre. Tom Ezell was the auctioneer while Roxie Ingram presented the items to those in attendance for bidding. There were over 40 items auctioned off, which raised over $2,000.

Where Ya Headed?

A week into his monthlong vacation, Dan of Florida pulled into town last Thursday with his wife Megan. While driving through Texas, the couple mapped out a constellation of National Parks to visit while making their way to California.

HORSEHEAD CROSSING CELEBRATION

The Pecos County Historical Commission hosted a two-day event at Horsehead Crossing. The event was first held in 2020 to commemorate the various historical figures who passed over this well-known crossing throughout the 16th-19th centuries.
