Ten Fort Stockton ISD students completed election poll worker training on Election Day in Pecos County this past Tuesday. Two students worked at each of the five polling locations in the county (precincts 1,2,6,7,10).
“I received nothing but positive feedback from the county. The students were a big help and the judges enjoyed having them at each location,” said Ember Renteria, Fort Stockton ISD Administrative Assistant to Assistant Superintendent.
High demand for career technology programs at high schools nationwide reached Fort Stockton and the program was reborn and has received a high-tech boost, starting with the cosmetology program. The Cosmetology Program at Fort Stockton High School recently received some upgrades that will help the students learn in the best environment possible. The new cosmetology area is now officially inspected and licensed for use.
The Fort Stockton ISD Maintenance Department recently completed the upgrades for the program’s 63 students to use.
Krystian Rodriguez and Aria Rojas were selected as the Band Beau and Sweetheart during halftime of the Panthers final home game of the season on Oct. 28 against Pecos.
Small Town Car Rental in Fort Stockton held a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 7. Representatives of the Fort Stockton Chamber of Commerce, Chamber Ambassadors, and Chamber Board of Directors were present to celebrate the ribbon cutting and presented the official membership plaque.
