Giving Back.

The summer reading program will be opened on May 20, the theme this year is “Adventures Begin at Your Library”. The kickoff program will be held June 6 at 10 a.m. with the illusionist “Artist of the Impossible”. Children will receive a welcome packet and incentives during the program.

The Davis Mountains State Park located just north of Fort Davis offers weekly programs, hikes, and adventures to park visitors. If hikes are not your thing, the park offers slide shows and presentations such as Rock Stars of the Davis Mountains State Park which was held this past Sunday.

Felipe Y. Chavarria, 87, of Fort Stockton passed away on Sunday, May 19, in Fort Stockton.

Timotea “ Timo” Rivera passed away peacefully on May 18 at the age of 84. A viewing for Timotea Rivera will be held May 20, from 12-7p.m.

Gabriel Urias Granado, 60, of Fort Stockton, left this world peacefully to be with the Lord, on Monday May 6, in Fort Stockton, Texas surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13 from 12 p.m.
