The Bill and Virginia Williams Special Events Center was buzzing with basketball last week for the annual West Texas Shootout. The tournament brought in 11 teams from Lubbock to El Paso for a three-day run.

The Lobo Pantry at Sul Ross State University in Alpine has been awarded a Swipe Out Hunger grant for $6,000.

The Fort Stockton Fire Dept held a coat drive the last two weeks. With the help of Fort Stockton Walmart, Glitzy’s Coffee Shop as well as Fort Stockton Convention Center, we were able to give 80 Jackets back into the community, as well as throughout the county.
