Manuel T. Hernandez, 90, of Fort Stockton, Texas passed away on Dec. 16, 2023, surrounded by family in Odessa, Texas.

Manuel was born to Lorenzo and Luz Hernandez in Alpine, Texas on May 18, 1933. There he met and married the love of his life Eva (Evangelina) Fierro on April 22, 1957. He then found himself with the opportunity to move to Fort Stockton to begin his lifelong career in carpentry. Throughout his life, he was known for his sense of humor and commitment to caring for his family. He will be missed dearly.

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents Lorenzo and Luz Hernandez; wife Eva (Evangelina) Hernandez; daughter Norma Jean Hernandez.

Manuel is survived by daughter Sylvia Yanez and husband Frank of Fort Stockton; Larry Hernandez of Midland; Granddaugher Iliana Yanez; extended grandchildren and great grandchildren Javier Yanez, Orlando Yanez, David Yanez, Joshua, Austin, Ethan and Ryan Yanez; siblings Ida Carrasco of Grand Prairie; Sister Cecilia and Eduardo Hernandez of El Paso.

Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Mass will be held Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Of Peace in Alpine. Burial to follow at Holy Angels Cemetery in Alpine.
