We would also like to give a sincere farewell to Robert Sadler, whom after 19 years of service to First National Bank of Fort Stockton has retired as Chairman of the Board of Directors. December 1974 … This intense Boy Scout is watching the projectile just in front of him with great caution – and with reason. It’s a raw egg. The boys are in the midst of an egg-throwing contest, one of the competitive events at last weekend’s camporee at Iraan. Object of the game is for two boys to play Catch with an egg, and each time they complete a pass with it, they have to move further apart. The winners are the last two-boy team to drop the egg or get splattered.

County approves aerial hunting bid

Pecos County’s expansive landscape requires extensive measures when it comes to game management, and the Pecos County Commissioner’s Court on Dec. 12 awarded a bid to hunt down and manage game and nuisance animals across the county through the United States Department of Agriculture Wildlife Services.
