FSHS seniors receive scholarships

Due to the generous sponsors in the Fort Stockton community and Pecos County, 30 Fort Stockton High School seniors will be heading to college with a significant head start to their college and technical careers.

Runoff elections feature local race

This year’s primary runoff election on May 24 will feature one local race in Fort Stockton. Republicans Darla Cude and Tammy Lujan are the two candidates vying for the District Clerk seat.

Re-elected councilman Darren Hodges and James Warnock, as well as newly elected councilman RJ Bernal, took an Oath of Office for a two-year term at the city council’s special meeting on May 17. Search for new Fort Stockton ISD AD, football coach underway

The search for a new athletic director and head football coach at Fort Stockton ISD officially began a week ago after former head coach and AD Mike Peters was named the Saginaw ISD head football coach and Campus Athletic Coordinator.

Fort Stockton ISD Superintendent Dr. Gabriel Zamora confirmed that search began early last week after receiving the news from Peters that he accepted a job offer from another district.

Guillermo Antonio Mackintosh of Mexico went to his heavenly home on May 15, 2022, early in the morning peacefully at his residence in Fort Stockton, Texas, with his daughter Lucia and his faithful companions Janay and Kika by his side after a lengthy illness in which he fought hard against until "his way" till the very end.

His love for Jesus and our Heavenly Father were truly what he had as he entered the Kingdom with peace and ultimate healing of his body for eternity.
