There has been a lot on the news in the past several months concerning both the Texas abortion law as well as Roe v Wade. I am not going to get in an argument of the merits of either one of these laws, but I am going to testify to you today concerning the fact that a fetus in the womb is a human being at the earliest of stages of pregnancy.

Most often, a Fort Stockton resident can distinguish a traveler passing through town. This past Monday it was easy for locals to identify a group of foreigners as they were spotted dancing in the Stripes parking lot off Dickinson Boulevard.

Fort Stockton Community Theatre received an early Christmas present again this year. The theatre group won top of its category in the City Bank Community Rewards Program for the second year in a row and will receive $4,000.

According to the Washington Post, hand-written “snailmailed” Christmas cards are all the rage, particularly among millennials who all of the sudden are spending more on Christmas cards than baby boomers.

JV Prowlers basketball secure dominant victory

The Fort Stockton junior varsity team headed to Coahoma on Monday looking for redemption and the Prowlers found just that in a dominant 39-13 victory. Fort Stockton capitalized on their 21 steals – a number five greater than their turnover total in the contest (16).
