The food pantry for the First Presbyterian Church rescheduled their pickup day to July 29 for this month due to vacation bible school taking place. The food pantry will be back on schedule in the month of August, which is regularly held the fourth Monday of the month (August 23).

The Water Carnival in Fort Stockton had a spectacular turnout in it’s return to the Comanche Springs pool on July 15-17 after a cancellation of the event of the year ago due to COVID-19. Hundreds of people attended the venue to watch the pageants and the show “How Not To Propose In Vegas.” The number of pageant age groups returned to six after the Water Carnival only held two last year in front of a limited crowd.

Ever since she was 5-years-old, Ashleigh Ramirez wanted to be a nurse, just like her mother Lorena. But what are they among so many people?” 10 Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.”
